Jeffrey R. Glew provides market analysis, land use programming, and asset and portfolio valuation services to developers, owners, banks, private equity firms, and public entities. Mr. Glew has conducted a full array of residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use market analyses across the United States, ranging from medical office development to luxury resort planning. Representative recent project experience includes:
- Southfield. Provided land use programming and feasibility analyses in support of planning and public financing for the South Weymouth Naval Air Station redevelopment (“Southfield”) in South Weymouth, MA. Development to include approximately 2,900 residential units and up to two million square feet of office and retail space.
- Asset Repositioning (Confidential). Created strategy for national real estate finance company to reposition unfinished condominium project planned for approximately 500 units in South Florida. Charted optimal course forward using market based revenue, timing, and absorption guidance for potential apartment, hotel, and retail land uses, with specific focus on market recovery forecasting.
- Concord-Alewife Parcel. Evaluated market opportunity for a proposed new 10 story apartment building in Cambridge, MA. Advised client on market potential of the site based on: evaluation of supply/demand conditions; the depth of target renter segments and their preferences relative to location and product; the characteristics of the subject site in the context of both the market area and the redevelopment master plan; and the anticipated impact of the City of Cambridge’s recently adopted rezoning and design guidelines.
- Portfolio Valuation (Confidential). Determined values for assets in select metro areas within 94 asset portfolio for major international private equity firm considering acquisition of commercial real estate loan portfolio totaling approximately $2.6 billion of outstanding principal. Completed supply and demand, product positioning, and cash flow analyses for all assets.
Mr. Glew is active in the Urban Land Institute (“ULI”), serving as Co-Chair of the Program Committee of the ULI Boston District Council and participating as a member of ULI advisory services panels nationwide. In 2008, Mr. Glew was honored as one of Banker & Tradesman’s New Leaders, a list of 35 of Boston’s top business people under 40 years old. A native of Boston, Massachusetts, he received a B.A. in History from Yale University.
